The ‘Hedgerow Goblet Hunter’ or ‘HGH’© ‘Carbon Collection’

Price range: £78.95 through £84.95

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING. THE CLIP TORX BOLTS FACE YOU WHEN YOU SHOOT.

TORX KEY SUPPLIED. These slingshots are laser cut from 10mm stainless steel plate, clips cut, core threaded, bolts and clips attached, hand polished, then the clip bolts are removed and replaced with new ones so there are no polish marks on the new bolts, then they are assembled with the carbon fibre pieces. The inner of the tips have been polished smooth and round, to avoid any possible band damage during use. The outer edges of the tips have been left square and crisp, to give a very precise reference point for aiming. New and improved features to this slingshot, other than the carbon fibre upgrade, are the 6mm lanyard hole, fully recessed clip bolts, and polished outer edges and corners for a more comfortable hold (apart from the top corner reference points). As with everything hand done, please accept that nothing is millimetre perfect, there may be small deviations here and there, but overall I am very pleased, and proud to offer these up for sale.

The surfaces have not been spot polished, or over polished to remove very small marks. I believe this makes for a much better slingshot with an even thickness, however there may be tiny surface blemishes on some, so please know that these aren’t all completely 100% flawless, nothing is. That being said, I don’t think anybody will be disappointed, I won’t send anything out that I wouldn’t be happy to receive or own.

Before use, completely remove the clips, taking care not to lose the springs behind the bolts. Make a note of which clip goes on what side. Clean and de-grease both sides of the clip area thoroughly, and check for any rough edges on either side of the clip. If you feel any, you may need to take these off with a small piece of sandpaper (supplied). Re-assemble the slingshot. Avoid overtightening on the bands, there is no need to crank the bolts up as hard as you can, firmly pinched up so the band compresses nicely is generally enough. Obviously keep a check on the bands to make sure they aren’t moving, and always do the first few draws away from the face. I still do this every time.

Lets get down to the slingshot itself. The HGH is a collaboration design between myself and Matt Redding, and ties in features of both of our hunting range of slingshots, my Goblet series, and Matts HH series. As mentioned at the beginning, these are 10mm stainless steel, with 5mm thick carbon fibre scales, giving the handle a 20mm thickness. It features the same clip design as my EVO Field Pro, sloped and rounded, as well as the locating lug at the base of the clip. This serves two purposes; it helps to locate the clip securely, and stop it from moving, it also means you have a stop point when inserting the band. This means the band is exactly the same length each time, as well as the band not being able to get chewed up by the clip bolt if you happen to put it in a bit too far.

The tips are 27mm, and the overall length being 135mm.

I have done a lot of hunting with this design slingshot.

I think that covers it, and I really hope you enjoy your new slingshot for years to come. As always, please wear eye protection, and only shoot where it is safe and legal to do so.

Tips 27mm
Width 95mm
Length 135mm
Core thickness 10mm
Carbon Fibre thickness 5mm

All measurements are approximate.
